We offer you an exclusive Japanese cultural experience through authentic kimono that envelop you in the touch of wonderful silk and organic cottons accented by traditional foot wear and accessories. Our photo studio is located in New York.

Guide to KIMONO COLORS

Before your Appointment

1.  Select your Photo Package, Kimono, and Appointment Date

Once we receive your contact form online, we will respond to confirm the date for your photo shoot at the studio.

At the Photo Studio

2. Kimono Styling

All of our Photo Package Options include styling with your selected kimono.

Styling takes a minimum of 45 minutes. For styling Children’s kimono usually takes shorter.

3. Hair & Makeup

Some Package Options includes Hair & Makeup services.

4. Photo shoot

Once you’re fully dressed up, it’s time to take your photo!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time does the photo shoot take?

Typically it takes a minimum of 45 minutes to dress up in a kimono. Packages that include hair and makeup service will take additional time. The photo shoot itself takes a minimum of 30 minutes. Therefore, a Package that doesn’t include hair and makeup (typically for children) will require at least 2 hours and a full package (typically for adults) will require 3 hours. The Wedding Package will require even more additional time.

I would like to change my requested kimono after How can I change my requested kimono after I reserved an appointment?

Please let us know any changes from the original request form at least three days before the photo shoot date. The preparation for delicate kimonos takes approximately 3 days.

Can I cancel or change the date of the photo shoot?

Cancellation is possible up to 3 days before the appointment at 12:00 am for full refund. The cancellation fee is 50% of the Package Plan cost if cancelled 2 days before the appointment, 75% of the Package Plan cost if cancelled 1 day before the appointment, and the package must be paid in full if cancelled on the day of the appointment.

How can I apply for a Photo Package Plan?

First, you need to select a Photo Package Plan, kimono, and any additional options/accessories. From there, please go to Contact button on Home Page and fill out the Contact Form. If you already have a preferred date for your studio session, you can request that date on the form.

How much do I have to pay, and when do I have to pay?

After you submit the Contact Form, we will reach out to discuss the date of the photo shoot and review your plan & option choices to determine the price. Afterwards, we will ask for a deposit fee to reserve the date of the appointment. The reservation fee will be 50% of the total Package price.
